I'm James Brougham, a devoted dad on a mission to sail full-time with my two fearless daughters, Halle and Isla, by my side. Together, we aim to showcase to the world that there are diverse and enriching ways to raise the next generation.
A brief history
Three years ago, faced with some challenges, I found the best solution was to purchase a boat so we could all live together.
The most significant thing for us is being able to spend every day together as a family. And if that means sharing once-in-a-lifetime experiences on the water, well, I can't think of anything better. Ultimately, I want Halle and Isla to not just read about adventures in stories but to actually live them!
Even with its challenges, what initially seemed like our only option has now become our choice, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

My Purpose
To me, the time that I share with my kids is the most important thing I will ever do. How I choose to spend that time will shape the lens that Halle and Isla will view the world. What will be important to them? What will they cherish in their own lives? These are the foundations they will come back to time and time again for guidance. When I am no longer here, the lessons, experiences and the time we shared together always will be. For me there is no greater purpose than that.
Why Sell Coffee?
Balancing the demands of raising a family while sailing is tough work, but I find joy in life's simple pleasures. One thing I never compromise on is the quality of my coffee. I enjoy it at sunrise, during stormy nights on watch, before spearfishing in icy waters, and when the day leaves me exhausted. Life's tiny moments matter, and I refuse to settle for anything less than great coffee while cherishing these experiences with my loved ones.

Our subscriptions operate on a monthly basis. Here's how it works: Orders are shipped out every Monday. For instance, if you place an order on the second Friday of the month, we'll process it and ship it the following Monday. Afterward, you'll receive a shipment every 4 weeks until you decide to modify or cancel your subscription.

Yes, you have full control over your subscription. You can easily pause or cancel your shipments at any time through your account dashboard. Access your account from the main navigation, under ‘Login’. We understand that life's adventures can take unexpected turns, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

Allow me to introduce you to the stars of my life - Halle and Isla. Here's a glimpse into who they are so you can get to know them a little better.

The Little Shadow
Isla is three and at that age where she just follows me everywhere, like my little shadow. When we first stared sailing she was not even one so I bolted a car seat to the boat to keep her secure. These days she can differentiate between the palegic fish I catch, which is pretty incredible! She’s relaxed, articulate and sweet.

The Big HelpHalle is outgoing, adventurous and capable. She has a vast understanding of what’s going on around her beyond her years. She is obsessed with planting and growing things in a garden, and there is no rock that Halle wont turn over, so she is always finding crabs and critters.
